Why is chopping vegetables so enjoyable? When you talk about cooking with someone that does not quite "get" it, that is a hard thing to explain. It is sort of funny though, you spend hours and hours making something in hopes that someone - maybe even yourself, will come along and destroy it with their face.
I wonder if Picasso ever wanted anyone to destroy any of his works of art?
Anyway. As a cook you do spend an awful long time working toward perfection. You spend a lot on ingredients and then another whole-lot on knives. That got me thinking.
What about Tongs?
Have you ever really thought about those? They are clunky and pretty outdated plus I would venture to say they are not even very good at doing what tongs are supposed to do (handling food).
What I am trying to say is I think there is room for improvement. Or maybe I am just crazy.
Because we run out and spend so much for perfection why not have the best tools tool in the world for cooking? At least replace the one you probably use the most (tongs) with something amazing.
Nowadays cooks are looking for precision, better design, durability and a more eye catching look, traditional tongs just don't provide that.
So for the sake of cooks everywhere we made Presentation tongs.
